Black Mesa Source Media Release
In celebration of Half-Life's 10th Birthday, the team over at Black Mesa Source have released a large and impressive media update which is currently being discussed right here. From the sounds of it, things are going very well behind the scenes and a release is (relatively) imminent.

Along with the new media update, the team also promises a forthcoming trailer. So make sure to keep checking back here over the next couple days as we'll have it up as soon as it's released.

Happy Birthday Half-Life
Hearty congratulations to the glorious Valve, as their eldest son Half-Life turned 10 just yesterday. It's been a long road, and we can all appreciate that they have made major strides since then. Major strides.

In celebration, Valve's baking their own metaphorical cake for all of us by offering the original Half-Life for sale on Steam for only $0.98! Even if you already own it, it'd be hard to justify not buying another copy for someone else (cheapest Christmas present ever?). The value is almost palpable!

Finally, Planet Half-Life has put up a pretty comprehensive history of Valve to mark the occasion, and it's well worth a read if your looking for something extra with which to soak up this little piece of history.

Valve Complete Pack - $99
In the advent of the release of Valve new flagship game Left 4 Dead, they've decided to cut the price of the comprehensive Valve Complete Pack to just $99. This includes Valve's entire back catalog, including all the Half-Lifes and Episodes, all the Counterstrikes, all the Team Fortresses, all the Day of Defeats, and of course Left 4 Dead.

They calculate that the individual games would set you back $234.81, so if you're considering buying just 1 or 2 of them this holiday season, you'd do well to consider the lot.

Fistful of Frags - Beta 2.1 Release
The fellas behind the Wild Western HL2 mod of the first water, Fistful of Frags, have continued their impressive progress with the release of Beta 2.1:
We continue our effort to improve Fistful of Frags with this new beta. First of all, we have completely redone the animations for Colt Navy, coachgun, Smith carbine and Henry rifle! There is also some important modifications done to bow, there´s only one bow type which fires any kind of arrow, and is also available a new arrow type.

So take a look at the rest of the post including the changelog and some download links, punk.
